The Open Source Teaching Project is a digital teaching and
learning model that allows students and teachers to learn from leaders while developing
knowledge economy skills.
Who is involved?
Students, teachers, professors, and leaders (academic, business, non-profit communities)
Organizations (school districts, chambers of commerce, colleges & universities)
Sage Leadership Partners, Inc. (SLP) (facilitator, trainer, project manager)
What is the activity?
Students spend a defined period of time (ranging from several class periods to an entire semester)
Planning, preparing, and interviewing leaders (organizations and individuals facilitate access to leaders)
Receiving and providing feedback on interviews conducted by student teams (SLP facilitates)
Writing and reflecting about the process (SLP facilitates)
Communicating with team / classroom members via a shared web-space (SLP facilitates)
What is the product?
Interviews, conducted by students, become part of a FREE global, keyword searchable library in support of new digital education opportunities for all users with access to the internet.
Digital record of assigned lessons, peer review, and activities via shared web-space
Web-based analysis of student and teacher feedback regarding the process, including precise analytics related to student engagement.
